WELCOME TO PORT MACQUARIE & DISTRICT 4WD CLUB
Established in 1975 by a few enthusiast 4WDer’s and still going strong with over 100 members and almost 60 vehicles. If you enjoy 4WDing, touring, camping, socialising and exploring the great country we call home then why not join up, we’ll love to have you.
Take a few moments to look through the site and see the great adventures that we get up to. Port Macquarie is on the door step to spectacular topology and an abundance of stunning natural wonders, just waiting to be discovered by you.
Come along to a club meeting held on the third Monday of each month and introduce yourself. The next club meeting is on at Sancrox Rural Fire Station, 160 Bushland Drive (see map below). Meetings are held in a friendly atmosphere and finish up with a cuppa and a chat.
Trips are organised by club members and range from a nice Sunday drive to a lookout or Nature Reserve to week long treks across ragged mountain ranges and sweeping plains. Trips are graded from 1 to 5, with 1 being a scenic drive with little to no off-roading, while 5 is difficult hands on 4WDing with recovery equipment essential.
Driver training is provided for all club members, and friendly advice and assistance is also there if you need it. All club vehicles must at all times carry rated recovery equipment and a first aid kit, as well as be fitted with a UHF radio and front and rear recovery points.
Our club is family orientated and is involved in many community and fund raising events such as:
• The construction of a 4WD track at the annual 4WD show held at the Wauchope showground. Money raised through donations are donated to a local charity.
• Riding for the Disabled Association annual Bago bush endurance ride
• Kundabung horse endurance held in July and organised by NSWERA
